I love listening to Angela's wisdom in these podcasts. When I feel overwhelmed with teaching (duties, papers, meetings), I like to listen to "Truth for Teachers" to remind myself why I teach. Angela reminds me that I am in this to make a difference in kids' lives. I just can't get enough of this podcast! Thank you, Angela!

A podcast is essentially a talk radio show which you can listen to online or download to take with you wherever you go. I enjoy listening to podcasts while I’m driving, exercising, cooking, and cleaning. Podcasts are a great way to fill your mind with positive messages while doing otherwise mundane tasks. They also help you learn new ideas and connect with interesting people outside your own community without having to spend more time tied to a computer screen.

I created Truth for Teachers to provide a short weekly message of encouragement and inspiration for my fellow educators. A new episode is released each Sunday so you listen during your Monday morning commute, or any other time that’s convenient for you. You can learn more about me and podcast in the first episode, called What is Truth for Teachers?

My friend and coworker discovered this podcast and shared it with me. Since then my entire team listens to it weekly and discusses the topics at our meetings. There are many days when we all just need someone to tell us it's going to be ok, and Angela does this in a firm but kind way. Can't imagine my Monday morning commute without her.

Truth For Teachers FAQ

How can I get new episodes when they’re released?

You can subscribe via iTunes and download or stream the episodes on your computer, tablet, or smart phone at any time. Many people use the standard podcast player on their phones to subscribe (Pocket Casts and Stitcher are some alternatives.)

Where can I find show notes or a transcript of the recording?

Every Sunday, I feature the latest podcast episode on my blog. If you prefer to read the message or want to pass it on to friends who don’t listen to podcasts, you can get the info from the blog post and share that way. The blog post also provide links to resources mentioned in the podcast episode and provides a forum for discussion in the comments. You can see all previous blog posts + transcriptions here in the archive.

When is the podcast in production?

I run two seasons of TfT a year with a 2-3 month break between seasons. It’s structured this way to make the workload more sustainable for me so I don’t burn out and can keep creating new episodes for many years to come. Typically the podcast breaks for the winter holidays (Nov/Dec) and summer (June/July).

How can I spread the word and show my support?

If you find the podcast beneficial, I would LOVE for you to click here and leave a review for the show on iTunes! (The link will open up iTunes: click on “Ratings and Reviews” and then “Write a Review.”) Podcast reviews are super important–the more reviews we have, the more easily discoverable the show will be, and the more teachers we’ll be able to reach and inspire. Thank you for your support!
